About

Hi there! Where do I begin? Right…….. I’m known as Miss Jane, everyone calls me that and it’s just stuck, I love it! I’ve been making cards now for over 20 years! EEEKKKK I feel old saying that LOL.

I started out in the cardmaking world as a Crafty Kids consultant, doing party plan and teaching classes. I taught my first class to a group of six friends and from then on it grew into teaching six classes a week which were always full, I enjoyed it so much and I made so many wonderful lifetime friends. I opened my own craft shop (in my double-garage) for a few years, I even hired others to teach as well.

In 2004 I was fortunate to land the job as the Technical Editor a popular cardmaking magazine called “Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft’ in Silverwater NSW. I did that for ten years and loved every day of it! I got to meet so many talented cardmakers, whom many have become wonderful friends, I also got to teach around the state as well.

The magazine was sold to another publisher and I then became the Editor, I did that for a year, but unfortunately the magazine closed down and is no longer in production. I miss it terribly.

Oh my personal life LOL…. I’ve been happily married to my wonderful husband Richard for 27 years now, we’ve been going out for 35, we met on a blind date! We have two gorgeous children who aren’t really children anymore, they’re 24 and 21. Three years ago we made the brave decision to move out to the country, I didn’t think we would go so far, but a job opportunity came up to Richard and we took it! So for the past three years we have lived in Moree NSW, a small town of just over 9000? It’s such a beautiful, peaceful, slow paced life! I miss my kids, family and friends, it’s a long drive back, a seven and a half drive, but I do love all the catch ups!

Wow you reached the end! Good on you for reading all that rambling! Thanks so much, I do hope I can inspire you in some way, share a few tips and tricks, maybe I’ll be brave and even do some videos?!

Happy creating

Miss Jane
