Alice in Wonderland

Hi there,

Who’s a Alice in Wonderland fan? Me! LOL

HeartcraftPaper latest digital stamp release is Alice in Wonderland!! Straight away I wanted to capture the scene where Alice falls down the rabbit hole! I grabbed my Copic markers and started colouring around and around in circles, elongating them towards the bottom as I went, I really had no clue! But, I then looked up some pictures of holes and got the shading a bit better, I’m chuffed how it turned out! Alice is a very beautiful image to colour, her eyes are brilliant and what a cute little dress! So adorable!

I popped Alice on a Wobble piece so she actually moves, I wanted to create the illusion that she’s falling. I get so engrossed in my cards sometimes, I’m sure I’m not the only one that does that! It could be light outside, but, suddenly you haven’t had dinner and it’s bed time!!

Go and check out all the other Alice in Wonderland characters at HeartcraftPaper, you’ll want them all, they’re only USD$2!! That’s $1.41AUD (as at 5/03/19) Hmmm… maybe I’ll create a huge tea party card!

Thanks for checking out my blog, now go and create!

Happy stamping

A Winter Bride

Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog, I’m so glad you’re here!

Well, I’ve decided to stay on as a Guest Designer for HeartcraftPaper for a few more months, such a lovely group of ladies and Monica’s images are so cute, I really enjoy creating with them so why not!

This is my second card I’ve made using HeartcraftPaper Primavera Fae image, I’ll pop a picture at the bottom of this post showing you the first card I created using Fae, just in case you missed it LOL, can’t have that happening can we!

So she’s a beautiful digital image and not a stamp, I’m very new to these digital images but, I’m working it out (yes, I’m slightly computer illiterate) but now I’m having so much fun!! I can make them any size I want and in any colour too! Stop laughing! Yes, those of you who have been creating with them for years! LOL Honestly…. I’ve never really thought about using them before, I’m a stamper girl!! Anyway, I’m learning and discovering the joys of the digital world. The ink from my printer is perfect to use with my Copic markers but please test before you colour your images, you never know!

Well, enough rambling, here’s my card, A Winter Bride! It’s ironic because I made this card on a stinking 40 degree day here in Australia!

I coloured her using my Copic markers, but I also darkened and highlighted a few areas with my Prismacolor pencils, I do this sometimes if I can’t get the shading right with the markers. The background tree image is a Stampendous stamp used with a blue ink pad, I wanted to create a subtle background, but then I ended up shading between the trees and they became more prominent. I never really know how my cards are going to end up, do you have a plan when starting a card? I do, but I always seem to go off the rail LOL. Oh, I also added dots to her dress using a white gel pen and glittered it up and her wings using Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by and having a look at my blog, I really appreciate it!

Happy creating!
